Answers to the most common questions about our self-service laundries.
How does the self-service laundry work?
Load your laundry into the washer or dryer, go to the pay station and pay for the machine you chose (cash, card or app), then go back to the machine, choose the programme and start it. In just over an hour you wash and dry.
Are detergent and softener included or do I bring my own?
No need to carry anything from home: detergent, softener and sanitiser are included in the washers, thanks to ozone that cuts bacteria by over 90% (UNI EN ISO 14698-1 certified).
How do I pick the right washer for my load?
Our washers cover every need: the smallest 8 kg (a week's laundry), the 14 kg (ideal for a duvet) and the 18 kg, the largest (even more than one double duvet or XXXL loads).
Why can't I choose the wash temperature?
Just choose the programme for your laundry, the ozone does the rest! All washers use ozonated water, which cuts bacteria by over 90%, quickly activates the detergent, doesn't fade colours and is gentle on fabrics.
What's the best way to dry?
Separate duvets, towels and spongy items from the weekly laundry: they absorb more heat and leave the rest damp. For efficient, cheaper drying, use two dryers at the same time.
Can I wash shoes?
Yes, in the dedicated washer: light fabric trainers, placed in a cotton/linen/jute shoe bag or a pillowcase to protect shoes and drum. No work/safety shoes and no leather.
Can I wash a rug?
Yes, all rugs with a soft, short-pile backing, such as bath or kitchen rugs. Rugs with a rigid backing can damage the rug itself and the machine.
How long does a wash cycle take?
A full wash and dry cycle takes just over an hour.
Can I wash whites and colours together?
Yes. Thanks to the cold ozone wash you can wash whites and colours together in a single load, saving time and money.
Can I wash duvets and bulky items?
Yes, the maxi washers are designed for double duvets, blankets, padded jackets and rugs.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cash, card and the Speed Queen app, which includes a loyalty programme with dedicated rewards.
What are your opening hours?
All laundries are open 7 days a week, from 07:00 to 22:00, holidays included.
